In Sirk’s re-make of WHEN TOMORROW COMES, June Allyson takes on the Irene Dunne role, here transformed into an aspiring musician who goes to Germany and falls in love with a famous conductor. Upon discovering that the object of her affections is a married man, with a wife who has gone mad, but not quite mad enough to relinquish her husband, Allyson is forced to decide between the man she loves and her expatriate American admirer.
