THE WILD ANGELS

by Roger Corman
1966, 93 minutes, 35mm. With Peter Fonda, Nancy Sinatra, Bruce Dern, and Diane Ladd.
Starring Peter Fonda, and made three years before EASY RIDER, this classic biker flick is a tough and nasty portrait of the Hell’s Angels, one of Corman’s many films exploring a counter-cultural milieu. The then-unknown Fonda got the role in part because he was actually comfortable on a motorcycle, and Corman filled many of the supporting roles with actual Hell’s Angels, giving the film an authenticity and edge missing from most of the numerous biker films that came in its wake.
There are no future showings scheduled.
